Sellerboard Review (2 Months Free Trial Available)

Grab a coffee and get comfortable, because today we’re going in depth in our Sellerboard review.

This is a pretty exciting tool that you’ll want to be aware of if you manage one or more Amazon seller accounts.

I’ll break down the pros and cons in details below, along with what you can and can’t do with the tool.

Rank Your Amazon Products in 13 Days

But I have to say, before I get started, this is easily the best Amazon seller tool I’ve used since Helium 10 – I would say it’s an absolute must for any Amazon business owner, and especially those people who manage more than one Amazon brand.

Before we start the post and explain exactly what Sellerboard is, I want to make clear that the links in this post are affiliate links. However, this recommendation is genuine, and even if you avoid our links and navigate your own way to Sellerboard, this tool is a must.

With that cleared up, let’s jump right in:

What is Sellerboard?

Sellerboard is an awesome Amazon seller dashboard tool that offers a variety of features. The most valuable feature, and the one that earns the tool a “must have” status from us, is the ability to breakdown your EXACT daily profits from Amazon, in a way that has never been easier.

More on that in a moment, but this isn’t all that Sellerboard does – other features include:

  • Follow up email campaign management
  • Inventory management
  • Reimbursements
  • PPC Optimizer
  • Listing change alerts

Most of these are available in other tools, and some may be done better in tools that focus entirely on them – for example Feedbackwhiz for email campaigns.

But, they are still done very well here and the full package is extremely helpful to have; and starting at just $15 per month, with the most expensive package being $63/mo, this is easily one of the most cost effective ways to get these features.

At it’s core, Sellerboard is a way to make your day-to-day management of your Amazon account easier, giving you tons of data at a glance that would otherwise be hidden in separate areas of Amazon seller central, or even not available at all.

It’s also an easy to to increase your cost-effectiveness and get more out of the time you spend working on your Amazon brand.

Now that we’ve covered the basics, let’s go more in depth into the individual features:

Sellerboard Features

Sellerboard Profit Analytics

As already touched on, this is the most useful tool in the whole package and worth signing up for all by itself. Once you’ve entered your Sellerboard login and connected your seller central account, you’ll need to enter some specific data such as your COGS for each product, shipping costs, VAT etc.

Once it has this data, Sellerboard will combine it with the order data from your Amazon account to give you daily breakdowns of your profits, both by product and the overall business, with clear breakdowns of every cost. You can view this on any time period you like, for example today, yesterday, last month etc.

The reason this is so helpful is it’s the only tool that provides all of this in one place. Even Seller Central doesn’t display all of this information, and the parts it does display are on different pages, making it time consuming and confusing to get all the data you need together.

We have found that many of our clients miss crucial information when they attempt to do this – for example, how much profit have they lost to returns? The answer is rarely clear or simple.

Sellerboard gives you all of this in a 2 second glance, though, and it’s so easy to read, you’ll wonder how you ever ran an Amazon business without it.

For us, checking our dashboard each morning is probably the most satisfying part of running an Amazon brand, as it tells you everything you need to know in one handy screen, and often gives you ideas for how things can be improved.

Products

On the left Menu, you’ll notice an option that says “Products”.

On the left Menu, you’ll notice an option that says “Products”.

This page allows you to view all your products, enter the associated Cost of Goods Sold, change basic tags such as the COGS type, and see the resulting profit per unit.

Filling this in is the first thing you should do on signing up for Sellerboard, but ensure everything is done accurately, as even a small mistake here can throw off the data SB will display back to you.

Inventory Planner Schedule

This section is great for sourcing insights, and allows you to keep track of things like inventory value, sales velocity (in units per day), and potential profit. Perhaps more importantly, it gives you a number for Days of Stock Left and estimates for how much you should order.

This makes it super easy to manage your different products and ensure everything is ordered “just in time”, as opposed to running out or being stocked too high.

Expense Data

Sellerboard makes it super easy to log all of your expenses in the system – this doesn’t just include the obvious ones such as COGS and shipping – it allows you full freedom to add anything that’s relevant and even make your own categories.

This then gets applied to every relevant order or transaction, making your profit breakdowns more accurate.

It’s critical to fill this in completely without missing anything, so you can know for sure that your dashboard is giving correct information.

This tool is so easy to use and liberating that if you’re a retail arbitrage specialist you can even use it to track things like fuel costs and store subscriptions. It basically turns Sellerboard into a complete accounting solution for Amazon sellers.

PPC Management

Sellerboard’s PPC tool helps you optimize ad spend, improve ad performance, and increase the ROI from your PPC campaigns.

You can assess the profitability of certain keywords and ad groups, calculate your break even ACOS, and even get bid recommendations.

You can also ask the tool to automate your bid changes based on specific parameters and profit goals.

All in all, the PPC optimization tool is very helpful and will make it easier to manage your PPC and make more from your sponsored ads. But in all honesty, there are many other Amazon PPC tools that work just as effectively.

This tool is going to be very helpful for those who already have Sellerboard for it’s industry leading profit dashboard, but it isn’t really a reason to sign up in itself.

Amazon Reimbursement Tool

This is a pretty important one.

You are probably aware that if a customer tells Amazon they have a problem with a product, Amazon will usually refund them immediately, asking them to ship stock back in within the next 60 days.

If the customer fails to send the stock back, then the refund should usually be reversed and reimbursed back to the seller.

However, this isn’t reliable, and sellers are often owed quite a bit in reimbursements from Amazon.

Unfortunately, you can’t trust Amazon to solve this, but Sellerboard‘s reimbursement reports handle it for you, telling you exactly what Amazon owes you and why, making it super easy to chase them up and get what you’re owed.

Lifetime Value Estimator

Something that’s easily overlooked when looking at Amazon figures is your customer lifetime value.

Some sellers even just look at their daily sales and have little to no awareness of which ones are repeat orders.

Now don’t get me wrong, this probably isn’t a tool you’ll be checking on daily, or even weekly. But it’s still pretty helpful, and can help you plan new marketing strategies, calculate your customer acquisition costs, or even just pursue repeat orders in a way that improves overall profitability.

Cashflow Manager

The cashflow manager is a fairly simple tool.

It populates your expenses and Amazon payouts automatically as you’d expect, but it also allows you to add other investments, expenditures, taxes, dividends etc.

This makes it easier to strategize in regards to future spending, and it’s calculated so accurately that if your starting capital and costs are entered correctly, it should show the exact same amount as your bank account.

Downloadable Reports

Like any tool worth it’s salt, Sellerboard also offers a variety of downloadable reports.

While this isn’t much in the way of a unique selling point, the accuracy of the data displayed in Sellerboard makes it perhaps the most useful report for your Amazon business you can find, whether for accounting purposes, cutting costs, or simply for your own curiosity.

The list of reports available include:

  • Dashboard By Day
  • Dashboard by month
  • Dashboard by product
  • Orders
  • Sales by product/month
  • Advertising Performance Report
  • Repeat customers (by brand)
  • Stock history report

Purchase Orders

Purchase orders allows you to create a document for each new inventory order, tracking manufacturing and shipping costs, inbound shipments and order status.

You likely already have a solid solution for this, but keeping everything within Sellerboard isn’t something to shake a stick at and will make life pretty easy.

This also directly communicates with the Inventory Planner Schedule page, changing stock levels such as prep center quantity, and even adds the whole batch of stock including relevant COGS to the products page once the order status is complete/closed.

Shipment Tracking

This page is self explanatory and allows you to track your Amazon FBA Shipments. Most of the time you won’t need this as it’s data that is clearly shown in Seller Central anyway, but it does make itself helpful by showing the percentage of units that have been received.

This is important because Amazon will often check in less units than they actually receive, and won’t always look at this until you prove it, so if nothing else, this page will remind you to chase that up and prevent Amazon from making some of your stock magically disappear.

Autoresponder/Email Management

Sellerboard’s Autoresponder allows you to automatically request reviews from customers a set time after they receive the order. You can only use Amazon’s standard template rather than write your own email, but without Sellerboard review requests have to be sent manually in Seller Central, so simply setting up the automatic requests is pretty helpful and should increase the amount of reviews your listings receive.

You can create specific email campaigns targeted by country, product, repeat customers, and more.

This is not as fully featured as some tools that focus entirely on it, but given the low cost of Sellerboard, and the fact you’re likely buying it for the dashboard features and receiving this as a bonus, it’s still amazingly helpful for keeping those positive reviews coming in over time.

FBA Fee Changes

Sometimes Amazon will remeasure your product if they think the weight or size dimensions may be wrong.

If this results in a change to the listing data, it will often lead to a change in FBA fees too.

This can be devastating for some sellers as it can happen without warning and reduce your profit for every sale. Not only that, but it is not very reliable and can be applied incorrectly pretty often.

This tool helps you to identify if this is happening, and makes it easy to request a remeasurement if so, reverting your fees back to what they should be.

Alerts

The alerts tool allows you set up various alerts for things you need to know about.

This is particularly helpful for arbitrage sellers or others who share listings with other sellers, as you can do things like track pricing and only go on the attack when the undercutters are out of stock.

It may be less useful for Amazon brands who have their own listings and don’t need to worry about this, but it’s still a nice option to have.

How Much is Sellerboard?

Sellerboard Pricing is laid out below. In our opinion this is one of the best valued Amazon seller tools out there, and we would likely still say it’s a must if it was priced 5x higher. These prices are insane and make the tool a complete no brainer, in our opinion. Sellerboard standard, especially, is unbelievable value if the limits below are still high enough for your needs.

As you can see, the annual Sellerboard prices are 20% cheaper than the monthly prices, making the annual plan the obvious way to go:

Is Sellerboard for New Amazon Sellers, or Large Brands?

It really doesn’t matter. Clear insights into profitability is important for everyone, and the solutions offered by Sellerboard work the same, whether you’re getting 1 sale per day or 1,000.

Yes. As an Amazon marketing agency, we haven’t had reason or time to explore this, but Sellerboard also integrates with eBay, Shopify, and Quickbooks.

This allows eBay and Shopify sellers the same exact profit breakdowns and variety of helpful features it offers to Amazon sellers.

Sellerboard works with a massive 21 Amazon marketplaces, allowing you to easily manage your business and profits globally. The full list can be found below:

This is super easy, and done through a popup as soon as you sign into Sellerboard.

It simply requires you to log in with your seller central details, although it will take around 10-20 minutes to bring the data through.

There is no option to cancel Sellerboard within the tool itself, you need to contact [email protected]. They are non pushy and will cancel the automated billing immediately for you.

It’s worth noting they do not offer refunds in any scenario, so it’s a good idea to give that 2 month free trial a good workout and do not sign up to pay after this unless you’re absolutely sure it’s the tool for you.

Yes. A 1 month free trial is available to all users, but by clicking on our link you can get 2 months!

Yes. All of sellerboard’s features work well on mobile, allowing you to check your dashboard even while travelling. Game changer! This isn’t common among tools like this so is a pretty strong selling point in itself.

sellerboard mobile

As we’ve hopefully explained in this post, Sellerboard is one of the best tools for Amazon sellers and an absolute must for those who want to accurately track their profits and costs to get an easy look at how their business is doing (which, if this isn’t a priority for you, what are you doing?!).

While our main focus is providing Amazon rankings and account management services for our clients, some of our most popular posts over the years have been focused around the best Amazon seller tools.

And that shouldn’t be surprising – we’ve managed accounts and product launches for thousands of clients over the years, so if a tool reliably makes our lives easier, it’s probably one you should be aware of. And this is certainly that.

It feels strange reviewing a tool without listing a single con or downside, and this may be the first time we’ve done that – but with this being such an amazing tool at such a great price, there genuinely isn’t one that comes to mind!

Just try it.
