Amazon Organic Ranking Campaigns
Organic rankings is directly related to sales, the more sales you can make in a given period, the higher your product will rank inside of Amazon’s A9 Algorithm. Sales with a discount larger than 20% do not increase organic rankings, this is one of the elements that Amazon changed in 2017 and cost sellers millions in lost funds.
In late 2017, we rebuilt our entire Amazon strategy and have not failed to rank a product since. The process itself involves finding websites and asking/paying them to place your product on the site for a period of time. This is essentially targeted advertising, although this an over-simplified version.
From here we utilise the synergy between content marketing, our link building outreach and PR marketing arm to align featured guest posts and PR mentions of the product. As well as the website which improves the organic ranking element mentioned below.
Timing Is Everything
Everything inside of Amazon is about TIMING. Generating 1,000 sales a month is meaningless if the average sales of the top 5 listings is 10,000 sales a month. Instead, what we need to achieve is to spike sales to a point above the top-ranking competitor products. We do this by leveraging 4 core elements at the same time; influencer posts, paid advertising campaigns, email list providers & timed content marketing.
The end result is a massive spike in real sales for a period of anywhere from 4-10 days, resulting in a large increase in organic keyword rankings for that specific product listing. Doing this for multiple products at once in many cases, such as the below results.
Another strategy we implement is the paid content placement route. For example, as timing is everything we pay for a spot in popular large traffic websites for a period of 7-14 days. Sites that are already attracting super-hot traffic for that type of product. For instance, sites such as: https://myawesomebeauty.com/best-vitamin-c-serum/ (vitamin C niche) or https://www.thesleepjudge.com/best-mattress-for-side-sleepers/ (mattress niche). These are sites built by people in our industry and even some close personal friends to the company. The strategy we use is to simply ask them to feature our products instead of competitors and pay them a set fee (usually between £500-1,500 a month depending on the product competition) to feature the product. We then rotate your products each month and hence spike the best seller rank for each individual product. This is a strategy I have not seen any other Amazon marketing agency implement in the slightest.
Building a brand on Amazon is good but it limits profitability and having just Amazon as a sales channel is also an expensive way to do business long term. Our technical search marketing campaigns have helped over 110 businesses rank in Google, including Ecommerce stores, we have helped take from mid-6 figures a year to over 2M/year whilst at the same time allowing the client to reduce adword spend. This is the baseline we create custom campaigns from. A technical audit allows our team to understand what elements are holding the website back, what could be improved and specific elements which if improved, would result in the largest ROI boost. Google Analytics Audit
Google analytics is an incredibly powerful SEO tool, although many businesses under-utilise its features and only look into the basic reporting options. In the Google Analytics Audit, we determine what specific elements on the site are ranking already and reverse engineer the search terms associated with this landing page. As a result, we can build out a custom “quick-wins” campaign. This is a mini SEO campaign that focuses on increasing the rankings of keywords already partially ranking (on page 2 for example) and then pushing those onto page one in a very short amount of time.
Google Search Console Audit
A deep dive into the technical elements of the website and analysing the site based on the data pulled from Google directly. In the search console audit we analyse if any penalties, crawl issues or negative linking is holding the site back. This is then built into the project management for the campaign if any issues arise.

A website quality audit is a user focused audit analysing the overall quality of a site. This includes mobile responsiveness, site speed, https integration, site structure and other auditing that highlights any technical user experience based issues that could even be holding rankings back.
Advanced Keyword Research
Advancing keyword analysis campaign that under-covers the most profitable short and long term keywords the site should be ranking for. Inside this document we also build higher funnel style keywords for content pieces later down the line. The keyword gap analysis is a report that analyses potential gaps in the search results where we could create an authority piece of content and achieve rankings relatively quickly and easily. This content is built based on the data pulled from all audits, as well as custom content marketing strategy processes we have built in-house. This is more efficient and effective than trying to build links directly to a website’s products, services or inner pages. This is often because these are seen as commercial, so individuals do not link to them. These pieces are usually guide style pieces around 3,000 words long that rank in Google for higher funnel related keywords.
